Chief Instructor Vaughn Miller, the founder of Dallas Military Fitness, is a physical fitness enthusiast and certified Cooper Institute Personal Trainer (CI-PTr) and certified in CPR by the American Heart Association. 

 

Miller has over 6 years experience in Boot Camp fitness classes.  Miller trained for 2 years under Navy Lieutenant & Chief Instructor Chuck Howard in the former B.O.D.Y. Boot Camp program at White Rock Lake until Chief Howard's retirement.  In 2004 Miller founded Dallas Military Fitness and joined the For the Love of The Lake a non-profit all volunteer group dedicated keeping White Rock Lake beautiful and clean.  In 2005 Dallas Military Fitness was assigned the Winfrey Point area in the Adopt-A-Shoreline program, a Dallas Park and Recreation program administered by For The Love Of The Lake and in 2006 won the "Best New Group" award. 

Miller's team runs each year in the Dallas White Rock Marathon Relay and has finished in the Top 10 in the Cox Corporate Challenge. 

Miller is an avid polo player in the Dallas area and carries a 1-goal rating and has played with Prince Charles in England. Miller's polo team has the most successful winning streak of any team in North Texas.  Miller is actively involved in several Dallas area charities including The Family Place, Bryan's House and For the Love of the Lake.

 

Instructor Brian McClendon is a former Army Ranger (rank E5) that served from 1985 - 1989 and was in Operation Just Cause in the invasion of Panama.  His training includes: Jungle, Parachute, Urban warfare and Sniper.  Born and raised in Mesquite, Texas, he completed basic training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and advanced training at Ft. Benning, Georgia.  Since leaving the military he has received numerous certifications for health and fitness and has been a personal trainer for over 8 years, with several years experience training corporate executives as well as kids and families.
